Documents Needed For Selling Your Home

Now that your home is physically ready for market, it is time to collect and organize the information which is required to actually put your home on the market. This information will help me describe your home as attractively as possible in the MLS listing and to answer any questions which prospective purchasers may have.

  • Deed of Transfer
  • Mortgage(s), if any
  • Lawyers reporting letter from when you bought your home
  • Property tax bill for current year and previous year
  • Leases, if any (furnace, alarm system, etc.)
  • Total utility costs for the last full year – the easiest way to determine these is simply to call your utility companies and ask them for the figures (gas, hydro, oil, water)
  • Key to your home
